Scrap Buster

         Toys seem to have taken over the living room.  So this week I broke out the sewing machine to make some bags out of my scrap stash. 

         True to baby form he came to see what I was up to.  Now that he is walking nowhere is safe.

       What toys did you hide in here?  Let me see... I think I will pull this out or maybe dump the whole thing. 

Western Illinois Threshers Bee

        Evan enjoyed his first of many visits to Threshers.  He took it all in so next year he can explore everything.  

         Every year they feature a different tractor for the show and raffle off a chance to win a tractor or a pedal tractor for the kids.  The Minneapolis-Moline was the lucky one this year.  The three amigos stopped just long enough to snap a picture in front of one.

       After dinner Evan was ready to ditch the stroller and walk with Daddy to look at the rows and rows of antique tractors.

     The small train ride was a big hit with Evan.  Kade got to ride in the engine car with Grandpa and toot the horn a couple times. 

        Of course you always have to make time to sit back and relax at Grandpa and Grandma's camper.  Evan and Liam enjoyed playing tractors while we enjoyed a few cookies. 



First Haircut

        Last month Evan received his first haircut thanks to Auntie Heather.  It doesn't get much better than sitting on the back porch while your aunt cuts your hair for the first time. 

       He did really well with the scissors because there were too many distractions.  He was watching the puppy and listening to Daddy and Grandpa talking while Mom kept him from crawling off the picnic table.  

Garden Spider

      Working in the garden cutting down our first round of sweet corn and came across this garden spider.

      Then just as I was getting ready to snap it's picture a fly got stuck in the web.  It immediately hurried down to the bottom of the web to wrap it up.

        Almost done turning the fly into a mummy.
